By mid-summer 2022, Morbern will achieve its second International Standards Organization certification, specifically the ISO 14001:2015. This certification outlines the requirements for an environmental management system that contributes to the company’s commitment to sustainability.

Under the direction of Chris McFarlane, Morbern’s Director of Manufacturing, the Cornwall facility has been developing an Environment Management System addressing the nature, scale and environmental impacts of the company’s activities, products, and services.

All Morbern employees are actively committed to protecting the natural environment by preventing and eliminating environmental pollution through:

• Following environmental procedures to decrease environmental impact, and prevent degradation of the environment and wildlife
• Improving waste management
• Exploring new materials and processes with reduced environmental footprint

• Providing continual education to prevent environmental pollution and preserve natural resources

In August of 2015, Morbern received its ISO 9001:2008 certification which sets out the criteria for a quality management system.
