Actiu, Spain’s Leading Contract Furniture Brand, Enters the United States Market

European design manufacturer brings 58 years of craft, B-Corp certification, and LEED/WELL Platinum manufacturing to North America.

CASTALLA, SPAIN / CHICAGO, IL, April 23, 2026 — Actiu, founded in 1968 in Castalla in the Valencian Community of Spain, today announces the formal launch of its operations in the United States. The entry marks a landmark expansion for the brand, one of Europe’s most recognized contract furniture manufacturers, and represents a deliberate, long-term commitment to the North American market.

Actiu’s US presence is grounded in a philosophy the company calls Feel Good. Work Better.: the conviction that the spaces where people work shape not just what they produce, but who they become. Over nearly six decades, that conviction has produced a portfolio spanning task seating, soft seating, acoustic solutions, workstations, and collaborative furniture — all designed with a level of material rigor and environmental accountability that has become a differentiator in an industry where both are increasingly required.

“The way Actiu approaches design fits well with the US market,” says Vince Berbegal, International Expansion Manager. Director USA & Canada. “The demand for design-forward furniture with verifiable sustainability credentials has never been stronger here.”

The Actiu portfolio is the product of inspired in-house design and long-term relationships with some of Europe’s most recognized design studios: Alegre Design, NACAR Design, Ramos Bassols, Ramón Esteve Estudio, and estudi{H}ac. The resulting catalog reads not as a collection of unrelated products, but as a coherent design language that can furnish a full project with the consistency of a brand that has carefully thought through how spaces feel.

Actiu is a certified B-Corp, one of the few contract furniture manufacturers globally to hold this standard. The certification reflects performance across governance, workers, community, and environment: a comprehensive assessment that documents not just what Actiu makes, but how it operates.

The company’s manufacturing campus in Castalla is LEED and WELL Platinum certified. Production is vertically integrated from raw material through finished product. At every stage of the supply chain, the company maintains transparency and accountability. Every Actiu product is available with full documentation for LEED v4 and WELL v2 submittals, meaning that specifiers working on projects where sustainability performance is a contractual requirement can integrate Actiu from the beginning of the process.

Among Actiu’s most distinctive programs is Second Act, a circular-economy initiative that repurposes surplus production materials, such as fabric offcuts and manufacturing-floor remnants, through collaborations with local Valencian artisans. The resulting objects are evidence of a company that treats sustainability as a cultural commitment, not a compliance exercise. Circular economy at Actiu is not a policy. It is a practice.

Actiu will make its formal US trade show debut at NeoCon 2026 in Chicago. The showroom is located on Floor 11, Suite 107 of the Merchandise Mart. The US collection will be presented in an immersive environment that expresses the “Feel Good. Work Better.” philosophy through fully furnished, livable vignettes.

The company is now accepting US rep groups. For more information, specification support, samples, and product information, contact Ryan Featherston, sales manager – US at ryan.featherston@actiu.com
