Workspace Solutions Leader Fellowes Earns WELL Certification for Design & Experience Center
Fellowes, a family-owned workplace solutions provider with a four-generation legacy, has achieved WELL Certification at the Silver level from the International Well Building Institute (IWBI) for its Design & Experience Center.
The 12,000-square-foot space, situated on the 9th floor of the sustainable 800 W. Fulton building, embodies the WELL Building Standard’s® seven core concepts: Air, Water, Nourishment, Light, Fitness, Comfort, and Mind.
“We’re incredibly honored by this WELL Certification,” said Jerron Obluck, Fellowes’ Sustainability Manager. “The Design & Experience Center wasn’t just built; it was designed with intention. Every element serves a distinct purpose, fostering well-being for our staff, customers, industry partners, and the wider market.”
Obluck further highlighted the center’s unique characteristic: showcasing Fellowes’ own products that actively contribute to the certification and occupant well-being. This includes the Fellowes® Array Air Quality Management system, LEVEL® 2 certified modular furniture lines, and ergonomic monitor arms, all working in concert to optimize air quality, natural light, and occupant comfort.
Beyond product demonstration, the center serves as a collaborative hub for designers, architects, dealers, and end users. This includes the innovative PORTRAY visualization tool featuring a 25-foot projection wall, an Air Quality Management showroom, a fully functional Working Office, and a Material and Finish Library. The outdoor terrace overlooks Chicago’s Fulton Market, connecting the indoors with the out-of-doors to round out the immersive experience.
