Where Craft Meets Quiet: Introducing the Pelle Collection

There are materials that perform, and there are materials that have a presence in a room. Rarely do both exist in the same surface. The Pelle Collection by Pavoni does exactly that, bringing together the warmth and depth of fine Italian leather with the acoustic intelligence today’s commercial interiors demand.

Developed over the course of three years in close collaboration with Pavoni — a luxury leather supplier whose materials appear in some of the world’s most prestigious brands — the Pelle Collection is the result of a shared commitment to craftsmanship, material integrity, and responsible design. It represents something genuinely new in the acoustic category: a surface that doesn’t ask you to choose between beauty and function.

A Material That Speaks for Itself

At the heart of the collection is Pavoni’s distinguished leather — refined, tactile, and inherently sophisticated. The leather is precision-cut and applied to a black, semi-rigid PET felt panel, with intentional spacing between each shape that allows the felt to emerge as a design element. The result is a harmonious interplay of texture and contrast that delivers exceptional sound absorption while elevating the visual character of any space.

Because leather is a natural material, subtle variations in grain and texture occur from tile to tile — and that’s entirely the point. Once installed, these differences become part of the product’s authentic appeal, lending depth and richness to the finished installation that no synthetic surface can replicate.

Three Designs. Endless Compositions.

The Pelle Collection is offered in three distinct patterns — Affarone, Volante, and Strisce — each designed to scale across architectural surfaces with intention and ease.

Affarone and Volante are available as 23.6″ × 23.6″ tiles, with organic, curvilinear motifs that create movement and rhythm across a wall or ceiling. Strisce takes a more structured approach — a vertically striped panel measuring 23.6″ × 59″ that brings quiet sophistication to large-scale applications.

Each pattern is available across five leather families — Roma, Milano, Napoli, Torino, and Perlata — offering a broad range of textures, grains, and colorways. From Bright White and Ivory to Petrol Blue, Wine, and Ochre Yellow, the palette spans the full spectrum of specification needs, whether the goal is understated elegance or a bold architectural statement.

Performance Without Compromise

The Pelle Collection achieves NRC ratings of 0.55 (direct fix) and 0.75 (with 2″ airgap) — strong acoustic performance across installation methods. It is suitable wall applications and carries a Class B flammability rating per ASTM E84.

Equally important to specifiers: the collection meets a rigorous set of environmental standards, including Red List Compliance, no FR additives, no PFAS/PFOS chemicals, no conflict minerals, Health Product Declaration®, and is published with Ecomedes and mindful MATERIALS.

Sustainability as a Design Value

Responsible production was built into the Pelle Collection from the beginning — not as a constraint, but as part of its design language. All components are sourced and manufactured within Italy and the EU, reducing transportation emissions while honoring the generational craftsmanship the region is known for.

The acoustic backing is produced from 100% PET felt with 60% recycled content, supporting both waste diversion and high acoustic performance. Pavoni’s leather is produced using vegetable-based dyes and closed-loop water systems, aligned with some of the strictest environmental regulations in the world. The result is a collection that feels luxurious and enduring — and can be specified with confidence.

Designed for the Way We Work and Live

As acoustic design continues to evolve beyond the purely functional, the Pelle Collection offers specifiers something rare: a product that performs at the level the market demands while genuinely elevating the interiors it inhabits. It’s a collection for spaces where the quality of the environment matters — boardrooms, hospitality settings, executive suites, and anywhere that acoustic performance and material quality are equally non-negotiable.

The Pelle Collection is available now. Custom patterns can also be produced — contact Unika Vaev customer service for details.
