This course provides knowledge to the A&D community, facility managers, building owners, end users, and manufacturers about BIFMA’s mission and work. The course explains Why Standards Matter to all who are involved in furniture procurement to ensure decisions are informed by safety, wellness, and sustainability.

A&D professionals, LEED and WELL Accredited Professionals, facility managers (satisfies IFMA CFM maintenance requirements), corporate real estate professionals (approved toward pursuit of CoreNet Global QPCR designation), customers, furniture dealers, and anyone influencing furniture selection.

Joy Stephenson, Training + Development Specialist, Indiana Furniture
Joy graduated with an Interior Design degree from The University of Alabama and has been in the contract office furniture industry for 18 years. Eleven of those were spent in sales and design at a furniture dealership where she hosted many learning events. She joined Indiana Furniture as a designer working to help customers visualize their spaces. In 2022, she transitioned to a Training + Development role to share her extensive knowledge and love of contract furniture with others.
