The award is the second straight year Jim has taken home the honor.

GrowUp GreenWalls, manufacturer of custom and prefabricated biophilic products, announced today that Jim Woods was named the platinum award winner at TPIE (Tropical Plant International Expo), where he was recognized as the leading greenwall trainer in the United States. It is a significant achievement in the rapidly growing area of biophilic design.

The most influential trainer award is awarded each year at the annual TPIE awards banquet hosted by Green Plants for Green Buildings. Jim has now won the award two years in a row, as the person who has trained more professionals on greenwalls than anyone else in the industry.

“I’m excited to win again this year, educating people on the importance of biophilic elements is truly a passion.” said Jim Woods, “In my own small way I get to prove how important plants and mother nature are to us not only from a physical but psychological perspective.”

The course titled “Advanced Living Walls with Case Studies” is a one-hour program that enables participants to quantify the environmental contributions of plants to a building interior. Attendees will gain practical insight into the bottom-line and human-centered benefits to designing with interior plants. Attendees will take with them suggestions on how to use this design consideration towards LEED certification.
