Rosemont, IL – October 2, 2024 – Independent Suppliers Group (ISG) hosted its annual Industry Week ’24 event in Orlando, attracting almost 1,000 attendees and 120 exhibitors at its tradeshow. The four-day event brought together ISG members, suppliers, and industry partners, featuring impactful networking, educational seminars, and a focus on the pivotal theme of Better Together, Building Strong Partnerships.
The week kicked off with Pinnacle member meetings, where members exchanged ideas and received updates on Pinnacle programs. The ISG General Session emphasized the strength of collaboration and partnerships within the Independent Distribution community. ISG President and CEO James Rodgers shared insights on how ISG’s growing membership, supplier partnerships, and organizational performance are shaping his vision for the future of the group. members focused on technology, followed by ISG Board Chairman Yancey Jones Jr. who honored Tim Triplett and Thomas Jordan for their outstanding contributions to the group. Dirk Beveridge, visionary founder of UnleashWD, wrapped up the General Session with an empowering Keynote Address detailing the Noble Calling of Distribution.
Educational seminars and peer panels enriched attendees’ knowledge, while evening events like the Office Products Women in Leadership Networking Reception, NEXT Young Leaders Mixer, and “An Evening in the Everglades” Welcome Reception, sponsored by ACCO Brands, fostered connections. On the final day, Steve Schultz, President of RJ Schinner, offered insights into the Jan San and Foodservice markets, encouraging members to leverage wholesale partnerships for growth. Members then explored the dynamic Industry Week ‘24 tradeshow where exhibitors showcased innovative products and shared new growth opportunities.
Industry Week ’24 concluded with engaging breakout sessions, peer group discussions, and the “Dancing Through the Decades” party, sponsored by HON. The event ended on a high note with the “Tropical Treasures” contest, awarding $3,500 in prizes.
