Integra Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-performance lounge furniture, has appointed Chandra Putnam as its new president. Putnam, who has served as director of sales and marketing for the past 19 years, will continue overseeing those functions for the immediate future, while taking on several new responsibilities. Those include working with all company department leaders to meet the organization’s business goals; participating in product research, design and development; maintaining budgets to ensure the company’s financial health; and leading Integra’s sustainability efforts.
“I’m excited to take on this new position and help lead Integra as it enters its next chapter of vision and growth,” said Putnam. “We are fortunate to have the finest people working with us who do outstanding work every single day. I’m looking forward to working more closely with everyone at the company to provide even greater support to our employees and to bring more solutions and innovations to our operational processes and to our customers.”
Founded 41 years ago, Integra is one of the few commercial furniture manufacturers that is family led and woman-owned. Monroe Putnam, Chandra’s father, will continue to serve as Chief Operating Officer, and co-owner Deena Putnam will maintain her role as Chief Executive Officer. Integra is a nationally certified Women Business Enterprise (WBE) and Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) organization.
As director of sales and marketing, Putnam has been instrumental in growing Integra’s national footprint and expanding the business and customer base into several key vertical markets.
Putnam began her career at Integra assisting in the development of literature and other sales tools as well as working with sales reps across the country and at trade shows for various markets. Over her three-decade career in the contract furniture industry, she also served as co-owner of a commercial furniture dealership in Phoenix, Ariz., for nine years and as an independent, multi-line rep in Wisconsin for four years. As president, Putnam plans to continue traveling regularly to meet with customers and work from the company’s main headquarters and manufacturing location in Walworth, Wisc.
