Integra Growing to Meet Increased Customer Demand
Integra Seating, a leading designer and manufacturer of high quality seating and tables for commercial environments, is expanding to meet increased customer demand.
This summer, the company will complete the installation of new, state-of-the-art equipment and machinery into a renovated 50,000- sq. ft. facility. Major portions of the company’s existing operations are being relocated to the facility, which is located directly across the street from Integra’s current plant and company headquarters in Walworth, Wis.
The renovated facility will now house all shipping and receiving operations. It will also include twice as many sewing stations, a new Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine and an innovative digital cutting machine that enables fabric for all the upholstered furniture components to be cut to the exact patterns in a faster and more efficient manner.
Additionally, Integra will now have an expanded showroom onsite at its Wisconsin headquarters location. Spanning 7,000-sq. ft., the showroom will be a signature display element for designers and other trade professionals to view and experience Integra’s expansive product offerings.
The existing building, which has served as Integra’s headquarters and factory since 1993, will now encompass all product assembly and wood finishing operations. This includes Integra’s one-of-a-kind laser technology for precision tubular steel and metal cutting, as well as Integra’s innovative seating suspension pulling machine. All executive, administrative and support personnel will remain at the facility.

Putnam founded Integra in 1982 with one employee and a single series (a chair, loveseat, sofa, coffee table and end table). The company is now led by Putnam’s wife, Deena, as CEO. It employs nearly 75 people and offers many dynamic collections of small-, mid- and large-scale lounge seating and a full range of coordinating products.
Integra serves customers in the education, healthcare, workplace, government, hospitality, retail and other commercial sectors. It also designs and manufacturers custom products as needed for its various customers.
