Homecrest Outdoor Living Hires Philip Payne as New Director of Commercial Sales

WADENA, MN – January 8, 2026 – Homecrest Outdoor Living is proud to announce Philip Payne as the company’s new Director of Commercial Sales. In this position, Payne will oversee and manage all commercial sales initiatives, driving strategic growth and strengthening the company’s presence in the market.

Payne holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Radford University and began his career in the outdoor industry in 2010 as a Regional Contract Sales Manager for a globally recognized outdoor furniture brand. He advanced through diverse senior leadership roles over the course of 15 years with the company, including National Contract Sales Manager, Head of Sales, and Client Engagement Manager. During this period, Payne drove 115% growth in the contract channel; developed KPIs that set attainable, growth-oriented sales goals; and authored and instructed a CEU course approved by the IIDA and ASID.

With extensive experience in the hospitality and commercial outdoor markets, Payne has a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end business processes ranging from manufacturing and material sourcing to accounting, sales, and marketing strategies. He is widely regarded by customers and colleagues as a trusted industry leader, known for his integrity, hardworking attitude, and ability to cultivate lasting relationships.

“Homecrest is a family-owned company, and when I came on my visit to the factory, it felt like home,” Payne said. “I share a lot of the same values and work ethic as the team members at Homecrest, and I look forward to working with them to implement sales strategies and methods I have used over the years to grow revenue.”

Based in Virginia, Payne is married with two children, two dogs, and two cats. He enjoys traveling and spending time at the lake with his family. He is passionate about youth sports, having served as coach, vice president, and president of various sports organizations over the years, including baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, and golf.
