Dewey® Collection Next To Hit Market
The Dewey product line, first introduced under Fixtures Furniture by izzy+, is back and now flowing through the smoothest running machine in contract furniture, SurfaceWorks. The collection was acquired in August 2018 along with five other izzy+ products including Penny, Clara, Nemo, Audrey and Eli. Dewey is set to launch March 15, 2019.
Dewey offers a collection of products that support a variety of needs and solutions in classrooms, training rooms, private offices, and in-between spaces. The expansive line is comprised of several award-winning pieces including Tables, Connection Carts, Helpdesk, Lectern, Buddy, Bookshelf and Media Cabinet—designed to support new approaches to teaching and learning.
Dewey Tables are exceptionally mobile pieces that facilitate improved classroom arrangements. Designed to withstand the rigors of frequent rearranging and constant use in today’s classrooms and training rooms, Dewey tables are manufactured with long-lasting materials and components. The unique 6-Top Collaborative Table is an extension of the table line and allows up to six people to sit around it—fostering connection and group activity by bringing people closer together making it easier to share technology and ideas.
Dewey’s line of helpdesks and lecterns work in harmony to provide optimal flexibility and user adaptation. Approachable and mobile, the Dewey Helpdesk is designed to help professors and presenters move throughout the classroom more freely. The desk is available in both seated and standing heights with multiple pre-configured storage options and integrated power management. The Dewey Lectern is the ideal companion to a presentation or lecture where movement is key. The mobile Lectern is available in two sizes with an optional locking cabinet for books and supplies. The Lectern and its smaller companion, Buddy, support today’s classroom technology, just as easily as an impromptu presentation.
Learning happens everywhere, not just the classroom. The Dewey bookshelf is ideal for those in-between spaces—the ones tucked among classes, dorm rooms, offices and entrances. The freestanding bookshelves carve out intimate spaces for study and conversation, serving as double-duty space dividers. It is also available in a wall-mounted version with flexible configurations and additional add-on units.
The Dewey Connection Cart is designed to enhance connections among learners and workers in a variety of
applications. Three different configurable options, including screen mount, AV storage and tackable fabric or
markerboard, allow instructors to explore different learning and presentation methods.
