Davis Furniture Invests in American Manufacturing with Two New High Point Facilities

High Point, NC — Davis Furniture is expanding its High Point campus with the recent purchase of the former Woodmark Furniture building at 1920 Jarrell Street, along with the groundbreaking of a new state-of-the-art facility that will house advanced manufacturing, Sales + Marketing offices, and a dedicated showroom located directly behind its Corporate Headquarters. With these additions, Davis’ campus grows from nine to eleven buildings, bringing its total office and manufacturing footprint to more than 500,000 square feet in South High Point.

Founded in 1944, Davis Furniture remains family-owned and operated, employing nearly 350 people. While the company collaborates with leading international designers and maintains showrooms in New York City, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., its operations remain rooted in American manufacturing in High Point, North Carolina.

“This expansion is a long-term investment in our people, our processes, and our community,” said Danny Davis, President of Davis Furniture. “For more than eighty years, we’ve believed in building here and manufacturing here. Our design perspective may be global, but our foundation is firmly local.”

Acquisition of 1920 Jarrell Street
Purchased at the end of February, the Jarrell Street property includes 124,000 square feet of building space on a 14.6-acre parcel near U.S. 29 and Surrett Drive. Renovations are scheduled to begin later this year, and the facility will operate as a hybrid manufacturing and warehouse, increasing capacity and operational flexibility.

The addition further strengthens Davis’ vertically integrated manufacturing model. Each facility across the campus is intentionally designed to support a distinct phase of production — allowing fabrication, finishing, and upholstery to operate in close coordination.

“Our facilities are designed around how we manufacture,” said Brian Davis, who is managing both the Jarrell Street renovation and the construction of the new Sales + Marketing building. “This expansion allows us to scale responsibly, improve efficiencies, and maintain the level of quality control that defines Davis.”

Brian Davis and Ashley Davis Williams, who are actively involved in the company’s leadership, represent the fourth generation of the Davis family, guiding the business forward.

New Manufacturing Facility, Sales + Marketing Office, and Showroom Simultaneously, Davis has broken ground on a new multi-functional building at 500 West Market Center Drive, situated on a former parking lot at the corner of W Market Center Drive and Ogden Street, directly behind its Corporate Headquarters at 2400 College Drive. The facility will bring together three core functions under one roof: advanced manufacturing, expanded sales and marketing offices, and a dedicated showroom designed to enhance the client experience during factory tours and visits. Designed by Winston-Salem-based architecture and interior design firm Stitch Design Shop, the building reflects Davis’ modern design ethos while reinforcing the close connection between design, sales, and production that defines the Davis campus.

“Our goal was to create a space that reflects how we operate — transparent, collaborative, and closely connected to manufacturing,” Brian Davis added. “It allows clients to experience the full Davis process in one cohesive campus environment.”

Strengthening Client and Community Connections
For the Sales + Marketing team, the new facility enhances Davis’ engagement with the contract furniture market. “This investment elevates the way we host and collaborate with clients,” said Jeffrey Rosner, Vice President of Sales. “Visitors will see our manufacturing capabilities firsthand and then experience our collections in a thoughtfully designed showroom setting. It reinforces the trust and transparency that are central to our partnerships.”

Ashley Davis Williams emphasized the company’s continued commitment to High Point. “Our history and our future are tied to this community,” she said. “We’re grateful for the employees and partners who have supported Davis for generations. Expanding our campus allows us to continue contributing to the economic and cultural vitality of High Point while staying true to our values.”

As renovations begin at 1920 Jarrell Street and new construction advances on the integrated sales, marketing, and manufacturing facility across campus, Davis Furniture’s expansion marks a confident step forward — reinforcing its belief in American manufacturing and growth anchored in High Point craftsmanship.
