Circularity In Motion At Neocon 2026

At NeoCon 2026, Boss Design brings a new collection to The Mart that makes a deliberate case for furniture built to last — and designed to return. Against an industry still wrestling with waste and short-termism, Boss arrives in Chicago with four new collections underpinned by a single conviction: that craftsmanship, comfort and circular thinking are not competing values. They are the same idea.

Lucy Lounge Chair — A Shift in Thinking

Lucy is the hero piece of the collection — and the one most likely to change how specifiers think about upholstered seating. In commercial interiors, fabric is typically the first thing to fail. When it does, the whole chair goes with it, even when the structure beneath is perfectly sound.
Lucy was engineered so re-upholstery can happen in situ, without the chair ever leaving the building. The cover is fully removable — no tools required. Old covers are then recycled into new textile fibres, extending their value rather than ending their life. Beneath the surface, Lucy is built with BioPur® foam, a recyclable steel frame, responsibly sourced plywood and minimal fixings for easy disassembly. She is not just a chair. She is a challenge to the assumption that upholstered furniture is disposable.

Nya — Generous Comfort, Compact Footprint

Nya continues to evolve the Boss lounge portfolio — a compact, versatile chair that delivers generous comfort without demanding generous space. Designed for contemporary hospitality, workplace and lounge environments, its soft sculptural exterior houses carefully considered upholstery engineering: a resilient sprung platform, multiple foam layers, a sink-in hybrid back cushion and a moulded BioPUR® surround that gives Nya its refined, enveloping silhouette. A concealed steel skeleton ensures the durability demanded by contract environments. Presence without compromise.

Lumae — Refinement Meets Performance

Lumae joins the Boss portfolio as its latest meeting and dining innovation — a chair that balances technical performance with a calm, assured aesthetic. Available with either a loose seat cushion for a relaxed expression or a fixed seat for a cleaner architectural profile, Lumae is finished with crisp seam lines and meticulous upholstery tailoring. Beneath the surface: BioPUR® foam, a structural steel frame, responsibly sourced timber and a design engineered for disassembly and reupholstery. Form and longevity, working in concert.

Enso from Lyndon — Modular Seating for Spaces That Shift

Completing the NeoCon collection is Enso from Lyndon, a modular seating system designed for hospitality and commercial spaces that need to adapt. Lounge. Meeting. Modular. Spaces built to shift rather than break.

The Loop — Circularity as a Service

Underpinning the entire collection is The Loop, Boss Design’s circularity programme and service framework. Built on over four decades of upholstery craftsmanship, The Loop combines repair, reupholstery, redistribution and responsible end-of-life thinking into a single, simple offer. It is not about reselling used furniture. It is about restoring value through considered craftsmanship and long-term stewardship — keeping well-made furniture in use for longer, without lowering expectations.
In commercial interiors, furniture is too often replaced because a space evolves, not because the product has stopped performing. The Loop challenges that pattern. It gives clients a clearer, more considered way to reduce impact without compromising quality, appearance or experience.
