Arcadia Expands Healthcare Initiatives With New Introductions, Enhanced Resources And Strategic Growth Plans

La Palma, CA — Arcadia is strengthening its focus on the healthcare market through an expanding portfolio of specialized products, enhanced digital resources, and a growing emphasis on partnerships and outreach. Building on more than two decades of experience serving care environments, the company is positioning this growing market as a key area of continued investment, with strategic plans to broaden its presence and deepen its connections within the design community.

As medical facilities increasingly seek products that balance the comforts of home with the demands of clinical settings, Arcadia is responding with solutions that address the needs of patients, families and caregivers alike. Its comprehensive offering encompasses seating, tables, and ancillary furnishings for waiting areas, patient rooms, clinical spaces, and pediatric settings, with an emphasis on durability, cleanability, ease of maintenance, and long-term performance.

Recent introductions underscore this direction, including the Dormir Sleeper Sofa, designed by 5D Studio, which brings residential warmth to patient rooms while incorporating practical features such as a moisture barrier, clean-out, and optional storage. Stash Eco, also designed by 5D Studio, reimagines the company’s popular folding chair in durable, non-porous HDPE material suited to high-traffic settings. Meanwhile, the Soa collection, designed by CLAUDIO BELLINI Studio, offers an extensive family of guest, tandem and bariatric seating, benches and occasional tables, combining welcoming forms with healthcare-specific features such as passive-flex backs, wall-saver legs, clean-outs and replaceable components.

Together with their Encore brand, these introductions represent part of a larger development strategy, with additional specialized products planned for the future. By building upon their established expertise, they aim to give designers greater choice in creating environments that feel less institutional while meeting the practical requirements of modern care facilities.

Supporting this expansion is a significant enhancement of their websites, including a dedicated healthcare section with its own navigation, expanded storytelling, and categories organized by waiting areas, clinical spaces, pediatrics, and ancillary furnishings.
Complementing these resources is a new, co-branded lookbook that brings together their extensive offerings in one curated collection, providing designers with inspiration and a convenient all encompassing resource.

Arcadia and Encore have also established a dedicated healthcare area within their Chicago showroom at The Mart, providing an opportunity to experience products firsthand and see how they all work together. This increased visibility extends to industry events, including an expanded presence at the 2026 Healthcare Design Conference + Expo, where their latest introductions will be highlighted against the backdrop of an entirely reimagined display.

“Healthcare has been an important part of our business for many years, and we’re excited about the opportunities ahead,” says Casey Journigan, Arcadia/Encore President. “We’re seeing a growing demand for products that deliver the durability and performance medical facilities require without sacrificing the warmth and comfort people are looking for. Our goal is to build on what we’ve established, introduce meaningful new solutions and become an even stronger resource for the design community.”

Together, these initiatives reflect a long-term vision for growth, reinforcing the companies’ dedication to creating environments that support the people who receive care, the families who accompany them and the professionals who provide it.

About Arcadia and Encore:

Arcadia and Encore are two distinct brands within a single family-owned company, each bringing a unique design perspective to a shared mission of creating purposeful, high-quality furniture solutions. Since 1979, Arcadia has offered expansive seating and table collections suited to corporate, healthcare, education, and hospitality spaces. In 1999, Encore was established to broaden the company’s portfolio, delivering light-scale forms and on-trend solutions for today’s changing needs.

While each brand maintains its own identity, they are united by a shared commitment to responsible practices and meaningful customer experiences. Together, they uphold intelligent environmental standards aligned with California’s progressive sustainability goals, and focus on providing value beyond the product itself—offering customizable options, responsive assistance, and a genuine appreciation for the people they serve. With corporate and manufacturing operations based in Southern California, a permanent showroom in Chicago, and representation in key markets nationwide, both brands are well-positioned to support designers, dealers, and end users across the country.
