arcadia + encore invest in their most vital asset: their people

Jeff Burrows | Director of Corporate Leadership and Organizational Development

Southern California-based furniture manufacturing companies Arcadia and Encore announce the appointment of Jeff Burrows to the newly created position of Director of Corporate Leadership and Organizational Development. In this role, Burrows will be engaging, motivating and challenging all employees to take greater ownership of their roles and fulfill the companies’ mission: To provide exceptional value, beyond furniture, in service excellence.

After providing critical business insight as a consultant for both brands over the past fifteen plus years, Burrows’ position allows him to dive even deeper into developing the thriving corporate culture currently present at the companies. As one of the most successful executive coaches in the country, his expertise will provide Arcadia and Encore employees with tools to foster growth – both personally and professionally – while simultaneously helping them become higher performance leaders. Having himself been a CEO, his unique blend of passion, vision, action and spirit as well as his extensive knowledge is sure to benefit both companies immensely.

“The reality is, a company is only as strong as its people,” says Casey Journigan, President of Arcadia and Encore, adding “Bringing Jeff on full-time was simply an extension of our commitment to our employees. We know that simply making great furniture is not enough to create a sustainable business; it is crucial that we concurrently empower our employees and allow them to reach their fullest potential.”

After growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, and receiving his education from Colorado State University, Burrows went on to author the highly acclaimed “The Entrepreneur’s Success Code® – How to Build a High Performance Business and Have a Life” and guide owners of companies that ranged from start-ups to those with over $100 million of revenue.

Commuting from Scottsdale, Arizona, where he and his wife, Kim, have resided since 1984, Burrows has already conducted several group training sessions to much success, and his approachable demeanor has quickly made him an integral part of the Arcadia/Encore family.

Randy Allen | Director of Emerging Markets

Southern California-based Arcadia and Encore reveal Randy Allen’s transition to the newly created position of Director, Emerging Markets. In this role, Allen will be responsible for developing, growing and enhancing sales in specific market segments that fall outside of the mainstream corporate sector – sectors such as healthcare, higher education and K-12, hospitality, airline clubs/lounges, convention centers, sports arenas and the like.

Serving six years as Regional Sales Manager for the two brands, Allen successfully managed the company’s network of independent sales representatives in the western states while developing business strategies across target markets. Sales growth reached new highs in several territories during his tenure, and the foundation he’s built will continue to serve him well in his new capacity.

“Our goal is to strategically position both Arcadia and Encore for continued expansion, and a dedicated specialist for emerging markets will enable us to concentrate our efforts on new business, while, at the same time, providing even greater opportunities to our sales force,” says Casey Journigan, President of both companies, adding, “Randy is the ideal candidate, not only because of his impact as our Western Regional Manager, but his proven relationship-building talents, management style and leadership traits also strongly correlate with our corporate culture.”

Prior to joining the Arcadia family of companies, Allen held various leadership positions at Steelcase – from Director of Dealer Education and Manager of New Business Development to Manager of Government Business, Manager of Worldwide Alliance and Area Market Manager. He was also the Vice President and Partner for two Steelcase dealerships, the Western Regional Manager for Harter and the Western Regional Manager of Global Accounts for Teknion.

“There is a tremendous story to tell about our brands and how they bring value across the board – from product design and quality to price and customer service,” Journigan continued, “With his extensive base of experience, knowledge and expertise, Randy is able to make the transition into this position and continue the momentum that we’ve built, while making a strong contribution in taking both brands to the next level.”

For more than thirty years, Arcadia has been dedicated to new product development and a breadth and depth of high quality seating and tabling solutions for large and small companies alike. Dynamic in environments ranging from corporate, medical, financial and retail spaces to government offices, airport and club lounges, and more, Arcadia’s product collections are introduced each year at the NeoCon World Fair in Chicago and remain on display in its permanent showroom in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart (Suite #340).
