AIS Adds New Team Members
Industry experts join AIS’s team of experienced regional representatives to help dealers grow sales; AIS also names new NYC showroom manager. Massachusetts-based AIS, a leading manufacturer of commercial office furniture and seating, welcomes new territory managers for Michigan and South Florida as well as a new manager for the company’s New York City showroom.
Deb Hoedel
Deb Hoedel joins AIS as a territory manager covering the state of Michigan. With more than 30 years of business development experience, furniture and facilities manufacturer representation, and national account development, Hoedel has a proven track record as a top producer.
“I truly enjoy relationship building and look forward to deepening AIS’s brand recognition and presence in Michigan,” she said. “AIS is committed to our dealers, and I’m thrilled to be a part of that.”
Most recently, Hoedel served as a manufacturers’ representative with The Highlands Group. Here, she represented multiple contract furniture lines and facility solutions. She brings high-level experience in managing dealer distribution and in client product education. Hoedel holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Michigan State University.
Modesto Montemayor
Modesto Montemayor joins AIS as the new territory manager for South Florida, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the furniture industry to the company and its customers. In his role, he will be calling on select dealers, commercial real estate companies and A&D firms to promote the AIS brand.
“I’m excited to join AIS and serve numerous clients as well as cultivate new relationships in South Florida,” Montemayor said.
Most recently, he was a territory manager for Offices to Go, a division of Global Furniture Group, where he was responsible for developing and leading sales strategies, growing dealer relationships, and training dealers on products. Prior to Global, he was vice president of customer experience at Empire Office. Montemayor holds degrees in computer drafting and design from South Texas Community College and Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Carol Weiss
Carol Weiss has been named the new manager of AIS’s New York City showroom. In this role, Weiss will oversee the day-to-day activities of the showroom, facilitate client tours and support the sales process. Weiss also is a part of AIS’s Design Team and will assist with product specification for client projects.
With more than 30 years industry experience, Weiss’s most recent position was as the showroom manager for SitOnIt Seating in New York City where she worked for nearly five years. Before that, Weiss was a sales representative for Carnegie Fabrics in Rockville Centre, New York. She also was a sales representative for several casegoods, seating and lounge furniture manufacturers.
“I’m thrilled to be managing AIS’s gorgeous New York City showroom and helping our clients in the region by creating workspaces that are functional and beautiful,” Weiss said.
Weiss majored in interior design and graduated from Paier College in Connecticut.
