Krug Healthcare Solutions was a major supplier of public area furniture for Dignity Health System’s Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, California. Zola Privacy, Jordan Guest, Jordan Lounge, Jordan Multiple, Karma and Corfu were among the healthcare products included in their system’s standards program. The Built Environment Improvement Program (BEIP) continues to roll out across the system with Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz being the latest facility to receive a fresh, new look. Just as medicine is based on science, so are the design elements implemented by the BEIP. In redesigning Dominical Hospital, all changes to the facility promote healing, help visitors feel at ease, and attract and retain employees. The color choices, art selection, and lighting, create a healthy environment.

The Hello humankindness brand is highly visible throughout the interior and exterior of the facility, making areas brighter and more uplifting. Throughout the hospital, there are special touches that offer great comfort. In Labor and Delivery, each time a baby is born, the baby button is pushed playing Brahms Lullaby throughout the hospital. It allows everyone to celebrate in the joy of new life. A piano adorns the hospital lobby, filling the area with music. Music creates a powerful connection, tells inspiring stories, and opens the whole being to the natural healing forces within. The facility enhancements are meeting with an overwhelmingly positive response from patients, visitors, and staff.
