AIS Opens Beautiful Third Floor Showroom, Previews New Solutions, and Features Concepts in Development
NeoCon 2024 marks a new era for AIS as the company welcomes dealers, designers, and guests to its new third floor showroom at THE MART where the “Non-Stop AIS” energy will be on display. The new space is suite 391, and with nearly 9,500 square feet, it features a uniquely branded customer experience highlighting the company’s intentionally expanding product portfolio and extensive surface materials offering. This year, visitors will have an opportunity to get an early look at ideas in development – and products launching in the months ahead – including a laminate-based modular caseworks line coming next year.
The showroom move began last fall when AIS closed its tenth-floor space on November 1 to begin creative work with Fitzgerald Architecture | Planning | Design the award-winning, nationally known architectural and design firm located in Chicago and contractor JC Anderson who has been serving Chicagoland since 1879. The AIS, Fitzgerald, and JC Anderson teams have worked in tandem to design an inspiring, experiential space that highlights meaningful product applications in a working showroom, offers places for gathering, accommodates meetings, and serves as a touchdown space for quick one on ones or focused work.
“The talented teams have worked together to create an inspiring and engaging experience for our dealers, designers, reps and customers. We look forward to opening the doors and sharing our new space with NeoCon visitors. The creative collaboration between Fitzgerald and our internal contributors was outstanding and the new AIS showroom reflects our commitment to growth and our dedication to dealers,” stated Nick Haritos, president and CEO. “We’re especially pleased to be on the highly visible third floor where dealers, architects, interior designers, facility managers, and other customers can readily visit our showroom to experience our many solutions first-hand when making project decisions.”
“Our creative team is thrilled to produce a dynamic showroom for AIS to showcase their growing brand. We’ve closely collaborated with the AIS planning team and JC Anderson to bring to life our shared vision, providing guests with an impactful experience from the moment they enter the space. The creation of sweeping ceiling elements, a welcoming front porch, an engaging cafe, and visually exciting product showcases create the perfect platform to celebrate the beautiful and diverse product applications AIS offers,” remarked Daniella Fitzgerald, principal at Fitzgerald Architecture | Planning | Design.
Guests will be immersed in exploration across the holistic environment as they tour the showroom. They will be greeted by creative visuals that embody growth throughout the space. Marketing and illustration firm, Mr&Mrs, out of Grand Rapids, Michigan, artfully designed each branding experience of the showroom to accentuate AIS’s beautiful product solutions and reinforce the company’s ever-strengthening brand.
AIS INTEGRATED MANY NEW FEATURES INTO THE SHOWROOM
As visitors enter the new AIS showroom, an inviting front porch will set the tone for a warm, engaging experience in a space designed with modern, streamlined tools for today’s workplace. Designed as an outdoor environment, the porch welcomes visitors in a friendly, casual setting that invites respite yet hints at more.
The Colors, Materials and Finishes Center is home to an art installation of falling leaves made from upholstery and vertical surface materials arranged on a mobile that gently moves – adding kinetic energy to the space. Approximately 100 leaves cut from AIS fabrics were designed in three different sizes to hang from the ceiling and reinforce this year’s NeoCon theme of “non-stop growth.”
Warm, neutral sophisticated palettes, combined with organic biophilic planters and graphics, create a sense of calm, freshness, and a place where employees can be creative, productive, and experience a sense of belonging. The textures, colors, palettes, and upholstery pairings highlight the recently launched Lounge Collection, featured throughout the showroom and offering space for shared conversations and comfort.
“AIS is experiencing incredible productivity with the new showroom that signals greater support than ever for our dealers with exciting new product lines and many new concepts well underway. As the workplace shifts, the company is finding innovative ways to make interiors more inviting, providing users with tools that help them thrive,” stated Brianne Devine, vice president of product management, design, and strategic partnerships.
“As our teams converge at NeoCon – in the heart of the country and the heart of the industry – you can feel the energy. We’ve spent more than eight months preparing for NeoCon with many teams working hard to help us get here. We thank them for their dedication, creativity, talent, and tenacity. We’re ready and we cannot wait to open our doors,” stated Doug Bowen, vice president of sales for the western United States.
With beautiful and accessible lounge furniture, standard products shown in new inspiring ways, and many opportunities to blend lounge, planters, and new enhancements in open plan applications, AIS continues to grow and evolve. The company is branching out in new directions every day in their non-stop desire to meet market needs and serve their dealers.
Another new feature celebrates AIS’ journey with a history wall spotlighting milestones from its 1989 founding through its latest product introductions coming in the months ahead.
This Midwest hub for AIS will also be a venue for hosted social events, educational activities including training, CEUs, and interactive customer visits. All are invited to visit the new AIS showroom on June 10 as NeoCon 2024 opens. With the new space, new products, and immersive experience – the AIS showroom is ripe for exploration.
