ARCADIA + ENCORE ANNOUNCE NEW STRATEGIC POSITIONS WITHIN THEIR SALES DIVISION
Southern California-based furniture manufacturing company Arcadia and its sister-brand, Encore, announce the promotion of Zach McNally to Vice President of Sales and the appointment of Lindsay Thornburg as Regional Sales Manager.
As Vice President of Sales, McNally is responsible for managing the network of independent sales representatives, developing business strategies across target markets as well as ensuring sustainable growth for both the Arcadia and Encore brands. Based in Madison, Wisconsin, he also directly oversees select rep firms on the east coast while continuing to lead CEU’s and training programs.
McNally began his start with the company in 2017 as National Training and Development Manager before transitioning to sales, taking on the position of Regional Director of Sales in 2020 where he quickly demonstrated his relationship-building talents, management style and leadership traits. To continue the company’s growth both domestically and internationally, it was determined that a new sales structure would provide the focus needed to achieve its goals and McNally was the natural choice to take the helm. Not only does he bring a new perspective to the role by modernizing the sales approach, but he also prioritizes the customer experience above all else.
Among his first initiatives was the hiring of Lindsay Thornburg, a 10-year industry veteran who was already well-acquainted with Arcadia and Encore. Thornburg received her degree in English literature from the University of Vermont, located in the state she was also born and raised. Upon graduating, she moved to Colorado and furthered her education by obtaining an Interior Design degree from The Art Institute.
It was during that time that Thornburg started her career in commercial interiors, joining Source Four, a leading independent rep firm covering Colorado, Utah and surrounding areas. It was here that her love with furniture began, along with her introduction to Arcadia/Encore which they represented at the time, and continue to represent today. Through her natural abilities to learn and lead, she worked her way up to manage the territory, developing lasting connections with end-users, dealers and the A+D community along the way.
Looking for a change of scenery, she relocated to Los Angeles in 2021 and was hired by MillerKnoll in their healthcare division. In that role, she worked alongside multiple major hospital systems in Southern California creating better patient and caregiver outcomes through elevated interiors and effective design processes. As rewarding as that was, she wanted to get back into the broader commercial interiors world and having the opportunity to work with Arcadia again was an added bonus.
Thornburg will be overseeing independent rep firms primarily on the west coast and with her close proximity to the corporate office, will have involvement with factory tours and engagement with IIDA’s local chapter, of which Arcadia/Encore are long- standing sponsors.
“We have always had the highest regard for Lindsay, so when the opportunity presented itself to fill the Regional Sales Manager position, she was the first person to come to mind,” says McNally. “Having a familiarity with not only our products, but also the people and processes behind them, has allowed her to hit the ground running and we’re excited to work with her in this capacity.”
With the new sales structure in place, Arcadia and Encore will expand their reach in target regions while strategically pursuing greater opportunities within its core markets of corporate, healthcare and education.
For more than forty years, Arcadia has been dedicated to new product development and a breadth and depth of high quality seating and table solutions for large and small companies alike. Dynamic in environments ranging from corporate, educational, healthcare, hospitality and retail spaces to government institutions, airport and club lounges, and more, Arcadia’s product collections are introduced each year at NeoCon and remain on display in its permanent showroom in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart (Suite #340).
