Green Furniture Welcomes New President and Moves North American Headquarters to Cambridge, Massachusetts
Green Furniture Concept, an industry leader in public space furnishings, has welcomed Dave McGlynn, Former president of Source International, as President of the company’s North and South American operations. This new appointment comes as Green Furniture experienced record growth in the US market, prompting the company to move its headquarters to Cambridge, Mass., where McGlynn is based.
McGlynn began his career as an independent Sales Representative for the contract furniture industry. He later joined the team at Source International as the Vice President Sales & Marketing and retired as the President. During his years at Source, Dave was instrumental in helping to grow the company to eight times its original size and establishing it as one of the industry’s prominent office furniture manufacturers.
“Green Furniture was introduced to the North American market only 5 year ago. In these short years, we have collected 4 Best-of-NeoCon awards and have had the opportunity to work with prestigious end users such as Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Cirque Du Soleil, Celebrity Cruise, Royal Caribbean, Carnival Cruise as well as countless universities, shopping malls and international airports. We are humbled that the A&D and Dealer communities have adopted our unique line of furnishings for their commercial design projects. With such rapid growth, welcoming an industry veteran such as Dave will no doubt be instrumental in solidifying our upward trajectory,” said Levon Afeyan, CEO of Green Furniture, Americas.
“Furniture today has become highly commoditize and the industry is begging for something new and different. That’s precisely what attracted me to the Green Furniture’s portfolio. The focus at Green is not so much about furniture design, but more so on the ability to integrate our pieces seamlessly into the architecture of a building so that it comes together as a unique, durable, comfortable and welcoming destination,” said McGlynn. “My goal is to grow this brilliant young company into an iconic part of design history and I will do so by promoting Green’s greatest strength – our uniqueness.”
In an effort to better serve its clientele, Green Furniture has now set up its headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
