2025 Impact Report Highlights Bold Progress in Sustainability, Innovation, and Social Responsibility

ITASCA, IL– [June 6, 2025] — In celebration of World Environment Day, Fellowes has released its 2025 Impact Report: a comprehensive account of the company’s ongoing efforts to lead with purpose, drive user-centric product innovation, and build a more sustainable and balanced future.

Spanning over 70+ pages, the report outlines progress across three key focus areas: Products, Planet, and People, with each reflecting the company’s long-standing values of family, innovation, quality, and care. From pioneering new environmental design standards to advancing social responsibility across its international workforce and supplier network, Fellowes’ actions are guided by a commitment to creating meaningful, measurable impact across the many dimensions of how the business operates around the globe.

“Rooted in our values of family, innovation, quality, and care, we are committed to driving meaningful change for both people and the planet,” said John Fellowes, President & CEO. “We take our responsibility seriously–– whether it’s reducing our environmental footprint, fostering sustainable practices across our operations, or supporting the well-being and opportunity of the communities we serve.”

Product Innovation with Purpose

Fellowes continues to integrate sustainability into every stage of product development through its Design for the Environment (DFE) program. In 2024, the company made significant progress toward its goal that all new products achieve at least 80% recyclability, with new lines like PROSTORE™ and Breyta™ setting higher standards for circularity. Efforts to extend product lifespans include extended warranties (up to 15 years), widespread repairability, and refurbishment programs across key markets.

Planet-Positive Operations

Environmental stewardship is central to the Fellowes operating model. In 2024, the company advanced its climate action goals by launching an Inventory Quality Management System (IQMS) to track Scope 1 and 2 emissions, with estimates now in place for Scope 3. It also achieved over 90% landfill diversion at its Itasca (IL) and Doncaster (UK) sites, moving toward a global 2030 target of 95%. Energy efficiency upgrades, solar installations, and waste-reduction programs across packaging and logistics have yielded significant emissions savings.

Investing in People and Communities

Fellowes continues to put people first by investing in employee health, safety, and career development around the world. In 2024, 100% of employees received performance reviews, and the company expanded global well-being programs in the US, Canada, the UK, and China. Through the flagship GIVE Program, Fellowes donated $1.2 million to causes ranging from education and medical research to poverty alleviation and global reforestation. In addition, more than 140,000 trees have been planted to date as part of its long-standing environmental partnerships.

Strong Governance and Global Ethics

Fellowes maintains rigorous internal governance and accountability standards. All suppliers must adhere to the company’s Code of Conduct. The company also continues to uphold zero incidents of corruption or data privacy violations and has implemented comprehensive cybersecurity and GDPR training across all markets.

Follow Along with Fellowes’ Sustainability Journey

At Fellowes, sustainability and corporate responsibility are part of an ongoing evolution of aligning our company, our processes, and our people with what matters most to our communities and the world. While 2024 marked meaningful progress across key impact areas, we recognize that our work is far from finished. Our commitment continues, both for today and for the generations to come.
