KATIE YARDER RECEIVES “20 UNDER 40” LEADERSHIP RECOGNITION AWARD
Katie Yarder, Director of Marketing for My Resource Library, received a 2017 20 Under 40 Leadership Recognition Award on Thursday, September 28 at the 22nd annual 20 Under 40 ceremony. She was selected from a field of 120 candidates.
A commercial interior designer, Yarder began her career at The McNerney Companies, providing custom designs to companies including The Hershey Company, AAA of NW Ohio, and Wendy’s corporate offices. As Director of Marketing for My Resource Library, the premier digital library for commercial interior designers, she led MRL through its first major rebranding initiative. She is a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional. She also owns NeverBlink LLC, a commercial design and photography company.
Yarder is an advocate of women in leadership and pioneered the first women’s golf team at Central Catholic High School and has started a free womens’ community exercise program “Fitness empowered” (Fe)-Iron-Strong-Females. This program has been recently integrated into the national non-profit, FiA – Females in Action www.fianation.com where FiAToledo has dates and times listed for free womens’ workouts.
In the community, she is on the board of Downtown Perrysburg, Inc. serving as Secretary; member of EPIC Toledo; is a Silverback Society Member/Ambassador at the Toledo Zoo where she chaired the event design team for Zoo-to-Do. She recently coordinated a 48-hour series of health/wellness events which engaged over 1,500 students and adults in the northwest Ohio region.

The 20 Under 40 program focuses on individuals in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their career and/or in the community. An independent panel of judges selects the 20 candidates for recognition. It is intended that the program will further motivate young leaders in our area. Since 1996, 440 young, community leaders have been recognized through the 20 Under 40 program.

Mrs. Yarder is a graduate of Miami University and resides with her family in Perrysburg.
